100% agree. Dab in glue and insert would be so much easier than dealing with broken crap.
Maybe I'm just unlucky, again, and noone else has issues...

P1 is just being cheap here. A pad of super soft packing foam on the quills would be fine, but it's too expensive for them to use so we're stuck with broken parts. I bought a huge sheet of the stuff for like $30 a few years ago and never worry about shipping delicate parts/statues anymore.

I had that revelation when I saw the broken Big Chap photos a couple years ago. Made me a lot less anal about mild imperfections/scuffs/chips/etc. Whether you fix it yourself or get a new one, it's all the same material rearranged, just by different parties.

Do we know if the packaging of the heads on the full statue are any better? It looks like Prime didn’t give this one the same attention as the JH.

I'll tell you tomorrow, if I have the same problem as Collectorcol .
I just hope that for the complete statue it's better put in the boxes...

I just saw on an old video, the prototypes of the painting between mouth closed and head mouth mandible semi open, not at all the same paint scheme.

Yes. Extremely basic paint application.
Prototype had more depth and transition between brown spots and skin was smoother. Production spots look like stickers. Edges are too sharp. There is too much brown on his "nose" area.
